Tracking Conri hadn’t exactly been difficult and she wasn’t entirely sure if that was a good thing or not. If she could find him then anyone in the pack could. It was a risk to try picking a lock during broad daylight, but she didn’t have much of a choice. Still, she hadn’t expected to get caught so quickly and she stilled, trying to place the scent. This was not going to go well, she could tell that much.

Personal headcanon: Kaylyn was given to Ren as payment. It didn't save the girl's mother, but Ren also decided to take the girl home figuring Conri and Fiadh would know how to ease her into her new family better.

“I’m here- I’m here, now” - okay but ren for fiadh maybe??? 👀

Her body ached, deep claw marks visible on her stomach as she fought to stay awake. Honestly, she hadn’t expected anyone to come looking for her and it took far too long to realize it was Ren talking to her. 

Fiadh coughed and tried to offer a tired smile, the parts of her lips not spattered with blood too pale. 

“She’s...dead,” the wolf managed to mutter, her head tipping back a little as her vision blurred again. She didn’t expect to make it too much longer, but he needed to know that Conri and the kids were safe for the time being.
