After trying digital inking (and finding more frustrating than fun), then trying the fiber tip markers (and not liking the dead lines they make nor the quality of the ink) I have returned to my roots and pulled out my Resterbrook pointed nib. This is the greatest inking tool I own and it’s a joy to work with (unlike the other two) and creates the best line work. Oh yeah. I do use a Papemate Flair for blocking in large blocks of black (recommended by Rob Frenz).
