ADIAML: Face Claims
After consuming way too much edits and letting myself be consumed by thoughts and escenarios in my head, I have reached a psychosis and now I can’t stop seeing Ryland Grace as Vic/Vision’s face claim for ADIAML. Remember, this is just how I picture the characters on my head and if you imagine them differently, you are free to do so!! This are just some silly insights from my mind
(I need this nerd so bad omg-)
Fun Facts about Fiance to a Star
Lore/relationship drama of Phantom family and those connected to it, this time. Long post, be warned.
It all started like a fairytale - Madeline Walker was the fairest in all lands, beauty and grace, genius magical prodigy, skilled with a sword, kind, loyal, and fierce. When she first came to AMITIE, young and full of stars in her eyes, Clockwork had warned her not to dig too deep.
She did not give his warning much thought.
Over the years, a lot of men tried to win her over, but she declined all of them. Vlad, who had fallen in love with her at first sight, decided to be smarter than most and claimed the place of her best friend, hoping that later she would notice him. Madeline did not. Instead, she had fallen - both literally and metaphorically - all over Jack Fenton, who, unlike all others, had never given much thought to her beauty or genius. Jack only saw a girl who was just as interested in studying otherlings as he was.
The three of them together - Maddie, Jack, and Vlad - had created lots and lots of trouble during their years in AMITIE. It was Jack who once overrun the fifth floor by a giant plant spirit - a weave of a charm gone wrong. Even now, years later, it is not recommended to bring any plants on the fifth floor hence they may come to life. It was Vlad who accidentally forced a blessing of Nocturn over a whole class of White Golds, and Clockwork had to spend a week trying to release them from their forever sleep. It was Maddie who engraved an explosion charm into her staff, which backfired splendidly a month later - the ceiling of the cafeteria still has a few scorch marks from that day.
And it was all them together who created the first unmarked door.
Tryna write a fic about Chris Rodriguez and I've been wondering, what was Hermes reason for not claiming him?
Like you could argue that he forgot he even had Chris but the guy knew he had two daughters in Louisiana or smt, so why wouldn't he know about the kid who literally lives on his doorstep for years.
So that got me thinking, Hermes knew of Luke's fate right? What if Chris was Lukes replacement.
What if Hermes was like " if I mistreat this kid enough he might be angry enough that he joins Kronos before Luke" taking lukes place as Kronos's meat suit and hero of prophecy.
He does probably care about Chris, but he's still gonna choose Luke, the favourite, over him.
And when the labyrinth happens, and with Chris no longer being with the TA, Hermes sees that his plan has failed and so claims him.
But imagine Chris growing up and Hermes not being able to look him in the eye because he is literally raising his son to die in place of another.
The guilt eating him up inside but knowing that he's still going to have Chris take Luke's place and knowing that if their roles where switched it would not be the same. Trying to stay distant but getting attached anyway because that's his kid!
The angst potential!
You know, I wish I could share all my world building and stuff for my fic because I'm having such a good time putting it together. I don't know how much of it will end up being shown in the fic - at least not explicitly or in depth - which makes me a little sad. But then, I don't want to spoil people as to some of the things I'm writing about since some are big upcoming plot points. And thus is the curse of being a writer.
Like, I have a whole section dedicated to 'Plot lines that happened prior to current narrative'. At this current moment, it has 1,800 words in it. And I'm adding to it right now as well. At least one of them I want to turn into a little prequel fic, since the story is super juicy and I need to write Terzo in a loving relationship. But that will have to wait. This is killing me, y'all.
hihi!
okay for the ask game: 18 (How do you decide what POV to write in?) because pov is a topic i have Very strong thoughts on so i'd love to hear yours!!! <3
Lol I write in the voice I hear it in typically. I know that sounds like a cop out but it's just kinda... Oh I'm telling a story and this is who is telling it to me!
Sometimes I do work it out. Like for Come In With the Rain:
Senna saves Comas as insp -> Max needs saved -> he must be unconscious -> can't be his pov -> people don't stop for crashes anymore and the marshalls are typically faster -> someone has to crash into him -> there are really bad repercussions for this crash -> gotta be someone I don't like -> Lando makes the most sense and would make a mistake like that -> it's gotta be Lando's pov
But mostly it really is just whoever is telling the story in my brain will keep it lol
Sometimes it swaps. Like Max's slip up at the end of DWtD 15 was originally gonna be in 16 from Max's pov but decided it was more effective from George's pov.
So it's a combination of who is best for the story and who is telling it to me in my brain lol
Thanks for the ask!!
Small lore drop:
Leo Foster is a jackal shifter.
Why?
Simple, two word answer: opportunistic scavenger.
You wrote about vampire!noah purring. And. I can't stop thinking about it. It's on my mind non-stop. It's consuming me. It's all I can think about. You've absolutely rotted my brain past the point of no return (god I love your writing so much)
Oh my gosh!! Thank you!!
You can thank Pinterest for the purring vampire idea. Some bats do actually purr, and Noah is -- though it's not shown on-page -- a vampire who can shift into a bat. The purring just carries over into human(oid) form because I think it's cute as fuck.
Some lore for that universe: Noah has a lowkey tragic backstory that I don't know if I want to reveal yet (just in case I revisit it), but he was extremely intimate (emotionally and physically) with his sire for a while. He used to purr constantly when he was alone with her, but he stopped purring after some stuff happened for a long time. Hell, I'd say being with Folio is the first time he purrs since that.
Not only is it extremely audible, but you can also feel the purr rumble in his chest. Folio likes to lay his head on Noah's chest while he's purring; it helps him doze off almost instantly. It is a kind of private sort of display of happiness and contentment, so Noah only does it when they're alone, and I think Folio considers it even more precious because of that.
