Illario Week: Day 6 - Joy

In celebration of the final chapter of Savior being released by @vorchagirl, I thought I'd draw the modern AU version of Illario and Kala. This is after they finally get together after so many years of mutual pining and close calls. As you can see, Illario is very happy.

here's a snippet from my 'joel saving you from a qz guard - alley way fuck' -

Your shackled hands rest on your belly as he steps closer. He reaches for the chain between the cuffs and jiggles your locked hands. "Didn' know you were cuffed. I don' got any keys on me." Sincere eyes wash over you, infused with energic ferocity from saving your life. "It's okay," you reply, your tongue peaking out the corner of your mouth. "I'm more worried I don't have a proper way to thank you for saving me." He flits his wolfish eyes to yours, tugging lightly on the chain again before pensively looking down the alley. "There migh' be a way," he says brazenly, a playful brow arching toward his hairline. "If you're willin'."
