Hii!! Long time silent reader and I just joined your Patreon too finally :) I just wanted to say I really admire and enjoy your work. Your ability to make your writing feel believable and natural while still being engaging and tangible is something I really appreciate!! I think it really shines in Anatomy of a Vampire! I also have to ask…as a vet med professional myself, are you a vet med professional?? I’m so impressed (and have been suspicious since Drown for You that you might be in the field) that you consistently get ‘hidden’ or small details right! If not, kudos to your research and aptitude to make believe decisions in your work!! Amazing job!!!

Sorry this is so late, i've been so busy and honestly exhausted 😭 but ahhh!! Omg? Thank you so much!! I'm definitely just a nerd lol i've always been an animal person (horse girl + dogs, first and foremost) but when i had to decide what i wanted to do, i decided to keep animals as a hobby. 😅 so while i've studied canine behavioral biology, my degree is in ai actually

I do a LOT of research for aoav but it's mostly for the very in depth things like what things look like under microscope and on ultrasound (i've had my own heart ultrasounded so a lot is from own experience too) and trying to see what things could go together?? Like if he lives on blood then that means a lot of iron and if he's still superhumanly strong then maybe those work together? And are there animals who are warmer than us and what other traits and problems do they face? So it's definitely like laying a big ass puzzle and trying to make some parts believable (and keeping others that i'm not as confident in, deliberately vague lol. It's one reason i had the bag rip while he was doing the isometric hold... i'm just not sure what would be a "plausible" time for him to hold that? like where is the line between reasonably superhuman and just straight up fantasy?? 😅)

The other things like canine hip dysplasia, canine/feline nutrition, colic in horses and whatnot are just things i know because i'm a nerd. While i can grade hip dysplasia pretty well on radiographs, i'm still learning elbows but that's MUCH trickier 😅

I used to always watch those vet programs on tv when i was little and i was OBSESSED with "inside nature's giants" that i saw on youtube when i was a teenager?? Where they dissect these big animals lol. the thing she does with his fingers/the "party trick" (on patreon) as she calls it, i learned from there, actually! It's in the one where they dissect a lion/tiger. And the small details i included about sharks (eyes and teeth) at the start i think i learned from the episode where they dissect a great white!

It's so interesting that you suspected it since dfy (and i take that as a huuge compliment!!😭♥️🤩💕❤️) because i'm definitely a science-interested person so i remember doing a little research for dfy too, just to keep it "realistic", but definitely not as much as for aoav! Thank you! ♥️♥️♥️

hey lo i bought ur patreon subscription and i read EVERYTHING on there in a day… ur writing is truly incredible and ur so talented. the plots are amazing as well like wth how can someone be so creative…?!?!! tbh a lot of fics r kind of like cliche and copy and paste?? no offense to anyone they’re still good but a lot of them follow the same plot but ur ones r just like so wow im in awe the plot is different every time and i NEVER EVER know what to expect

i bought it mostly for dfy and i was left shocked after finishing it… i didnt know what i was expecting but it definitely wasn’t that!!!! it was (once again) a masterpiece. i’m surprised that u aren’t that proud of it but jsut letting u know that its one of my fav fics of alll time and i find myself rereading it always😅

also the sperm donor and kangakoo fic were both amazing but also quite sad 🥲🥲🥲 i’ve been searching high and low for angsty jk fics and ur ones r just ugh i can’t explain how much i love them

hello!! thank you so, so much, that's so kind! ♥️♥️♥️ i feel like i'm lucky people want to read my sometimes maybe a little too weird fics 🫣 but i definitely like that there's no shame in writing whatever you want, even if it's weird like the sperm donor or kangakoo or even dfy. dfy is weird for me because it was so long ago and i wasn't that good of a writer so while i think the plot is okay (a little too dramatic maybe), the writing itself could be better... but i'm glad you like it! ♥️

thank you, i love when people ramble! unfortunately, i've been better tbh, i've been doing a lot of heart exams(?) so i'm waiting to hear back and see what the next steps are. but it seems like it's maybe ed-related complications so that's... rough :(

and my god right now I'm crying like a baby after finishing the last chapter that you posted here on tumblr (it was probably also influenced by my pms too lol) but just like wow this story is so fucking good and it made me so curious about how its going to be (please this is by far a charge for updates😭😭I've already seen your responses about it and just wanted to share my thoughts)

hello!! thank you so much!! i can definitely relate to the pms thing currently 😩 yesterday i came across that video of a teenage girl in like... masterchef kid edition or whatever, the one where she couldn't open a jar and so she tried her best and then ran to her dad in the audience and he helped her and took it SO seriously and i CRIED lmao 😭 even though i've seen it before 😭 anyway, i'm glad you like dfy, thank you ♥️

Author why won't you update drown for you anymore 😞😞😭😭

okay so dfy has recently gotten an influx of reader again as it does sometimes, and literally everything you need to know about it is in my faq, which it says to read before sending me asks (it also says on the dfy masterlist). i know you (probably) don't mean to come off as rude but i get SO many asks like this about dfy and even though it's at the absolute bottom of my priority list already, it makes me want to keep working on it even less. i've already finished this fic once years ago, i don't rework it for my sake but for the people who were sad i took it down. it's a monster of a fic at about 100 000 words, i have limited time to write, and so i'd rather work on better, more exciting fics.

I just finished “drown for you” till chapter 7 and I wanted to reach out to tell you how much I loved it! The way you portray and develop the plot of the relationship between them was really really captivating.

But, I read till chapter 7 and couldn’t find chapter 8 and rest till 12. It seems to be missing from your profile.

I even went through the ‘ask section’ and saw some comments and replies about Chapter Eight and the rest of the chapters, but now I can't find it.

so dfy was my first fic basically, and i was still very new to writing so i didn't quite like how it turned out, but i did finish it back in 2020. i took it down and started rewriting it. that's why there are people who have read it and asked stuff about it but the latest part on tumblr is 7 and the later parts are privated.

so i am still working on it, but it's very low on my list of priorities because i've already finished it once and i have other fics i'd like to focus on more! (better fics, in my opinion)

but if you want to read the old version (there's a post explaining the differences linked in my faq), it's on my patreon as a pdf file ❤️
