I really like this. Very vivid.
Thank you! This really means a lot. I was very nervous to post this.
writing snippets: a look into the mirror
Taken from Not All Who Wander (Lab Rats)
Just as it had been the first time, back when he was in Davenport’s plane, it was a strange thing to step before the mirror. It was almost a foreign act for him to do so, a thought which made Spike pause. He had no desire to glance into the small piece of glass before him because there was no sense of significance in doing so. The way he looked held little importance to him, just as it was for what he ate or wore. All of it was mere necessity.

ficdirectory answered your question “Anyone ever think about why some TV shows (or movies, books, etc)...”
For me, it's missing scenes. Moments I would like to have seen on screen but did not. Also, the desire to talk to other people who are watching the same show as me.
I think missing scenes are a factor for me as well. It’s like it almost helps for the show to be badly written, b/c then it gives fandom a lot to discuss and debate, and write fix-it fic or missing-scenes fic about.
JD!! You should 'go here' and see The Fosters. It is maddening and it is also SO REAL the way Jesus is being treated. Tuesday nights, Freeform, 8/7c if youre interested. It's also on Netflix except for the most recent 3 episodes.
“SO REAL” is the truth. After years of talking/learning from you two, that’s abundantly clear. lol and I “went there” for a little! I just don’t go anywhere anymore though.

I agree! But I also find it so hard to be firm, as we are taught to be small and quiet all throughout life and then we turn 18 and it’s like SPEAK UP FOR YOURSELF. So difficult.
I still find it hard to be firm as well and still have issues speaking up for myself. I wish someone early on had told me that it was ok to be firm and demand my rights. Would have made the transition into adulthood so much easier.
I love your Glee episode rankings so far, they are so involved. I was thinking of doing something SOMEWHAT similar just because my least favorite episode as of right now also has my most favorite solo ever, and I just can't let that slide without singing its praises. Love that you include both positives and negatives even in your least favorite episodes and you have a refreshingly interesting take on a lot of things <3
Thank you! I love Glee so much, I can always find positives, I never fell into that hating Glee trap that a lot of fandom fell into. I can find moments even in the dullest episode.
