Living up to my server names on two different Murdle servers and I made a self insert OC who is Eminence's unofficial adoptive mom

I kind of have a running gag that my persona's are functionally immortal so long as I (their creator) am alive so.

Immortal parent and her mortal son, surely a tale that won't end in tragedy 💕

Anyways, my fictional child is a semi-clone of myself.

S/I finds some weird large grub and takes care of it, but each time it molts it looks more and more like how they looked as a baby.

So my thoughts on making a kid for Graveyard Flowers is something like this...

A couple years into Beej and Ro's little partnership Beej gets summoned by a woman.

She had escaped an abusive marriage with her baby and ended up dying in a car crash that the baby survived. Instead of being tied to a house she's tied to her daughter. She gets so fed up with the foster homes she's been placed in she does something drastic.

Now, BJ has never, and I mean never, been asked to take care of a kid, babysitting isn't exactly a service he advertises on his flyer, but the whole thing is a basically a blank check waiting to be cashed.

It may not be his ticket back to living, but having a live one on his charge could get both him and Ro some sweet upgrades. That doesn't mean he's not reluctant.

So imagine Ro's confusion when he shows back up in the office, completely perplexed, before heading off to do actual paperwork, and only pausing to ask, "You like kids, right?"

Obviously, before he hands the paperwork in, he does the most outrageous thing, and asks her whether she'd be okay helping him take care of a kid.

Her first instinct is to say no, because he should in no way be allowed to raise a child, but once he fully explains the circumstances she agrees.

Once the paperwork is signed by the mother, approved, and a house up top is acquired, they finally get to actually meet her.

And she is the cutest little three-year-old, with blond hair, and big brown eyes, named Mila.

Her mother was able to explain the situation, that she can't take care of her anymore, but that's all before her spirit finally gives out.

Of course they're both a little nervous how she's going to react to them, BJ especially. With a little make up and a scarf Ro looks pretty normal, if not just really pale.

Much to their confusion, she finds Rosie the more unsettling one, and is completely fine with BJ.

She warms up to her eventually, but she definitely prefers Beej and his weirdness.

She also calls him 'Beebs' and thinks it's funny when his head spins and pulls snake and rats out of his pockets. Definitely a strange little girl, but perfect for them.
