Grassy should be asleep right now, so don't tell Basketball or Ray about this! But Grassy wanted to talk about Grassy's day!
Grassy got to play Minecraft with Ray! Ray also made Grassy eggs for breakfast and then Ray and Grassy went back to bed after! :D Ray called it "sleeping in".
But the most fun thing was when Ray got Four and X to share some of their food!! They are chefs in the hotel we live in, but if you aren't a guest, they won't give you any. But since Ray lives here Four and X said Ray could order for Grassy under a techin tecycalite Grassy doesn't actually know how to spell the word-
But Ray got Grassy a burger and fries :] anyways thats the end of Grassy's story. Grassy has to go to bed before Basketball catches Grassy up- Don't tell her either!!
LALALALA NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY SON HES FINE HAHAHA

Alt title: Recovery

Ray broke down the hotel doors heaving with a panicked expression on doll's face. The sky was dark, doll couldn't find anyone. Basketball was gone. Everyone was gone.
"Grassy?!"
Doll called out slamming the door out of doll's way, hands shaking as doll looked around at the aftermath of the…well. Ray couldn't really call this a bloodbath. Dead and broken objects littered the floors, yes. But blood, there was not.
"Buddy?! Hey!!"
Ray called out again, voice shaky and cracking as doll's breaths became uneven. Surely nobody would hurt a child, right?
"ARE YOU HERE?!"
Doll screeched again, rushing towards the stairs as tears threatened to fall. A hand clutched at the fabric on doll's chest, tugging at it until it ripped slightly.
Ray called out again, unable to hold back tears any longer. The recover center was missing. If Grassy wasn't alive then—
A small, frightened cry from the vents broke Ray out of the impending spiral, doll's eyes dilating as doll honed in on the sound.
Grassy.
Before Ray could even register what doll was doing, doll had dragged a heavy ladder up several flight of stairs, positioning it under the vent making the sound.
With a frightening speed, the doll-like creature had climbed up the ladder, slamming the vent cover open.
A familiar clump of grass flinched, crying harder from the sudden scare as he covered his face.
"N-No— Nono! Sweetheart it's okay—!"
Ray quickly spoke, trying to pull dollself together as doll held back doll's tears again. He looked so frightened.
"It's me…I'm here now…"
Doll lowered doll's tone, placing a hand on the vent floor in front of him.
Grassy finally uncovered his face, tears still rolling down as his little body shook. The silence was thick for a moment, all except for the quiet sniffles dying down.
The little grass clump hesitantly crawled over, placing his hand over Ray's…before climbing on top of doll's head. He nuzzled down into doll's fluffy hair, tightly grabbing on. It was as though he was afraid to let go.
Ray started to gently climb down the ladder, one hand pressing Grassy further into doll's hair. Doll didn't want to take any chances. Doll's footsteps echoed, slow and steady, before finally reaching the bottom.
Despite reaching the floor, Ray didn't take doll's hand off of Grassy, continuing to keep him pressed in. Doll had to be strong now.
"…Are you hungry…?"
Ray asked, quietly wandering back down the hall, feeling Grassy hide away his face as doll lead them over the pile of object corpses strewn about.
He didn't respond, still quiet other then the occasional sniffle.
Ray glanced to the side, noticing Price Tag still had their door open. They always had some neat stuff inside. Doll made a mental note to check the room later for any games or books doll could use to distract Grassy.
"I'll make us something."
Ray finally said after a minute.
It didn't take too long to get back down the stairs, but…with how empty the place was, time felt wrong. And through the whole silence, doll wanted to say something to Grassy. But how many times could doll say everything was fine until it actually worked?
Grassy was the only one left. That probably meant he won the challenge— but this victory was hollow. This challenge was asinine and sadistic, and for what? There was no good feeling that could come from a "win" like this.
Honestly, what was TV thinking…?
It didn't matter now.
All that mattered was trying to go back to normal.
Finally, Ray made it to the kitchen Four and X worked in, not finding either of them inside as the door creaked open.
"What're you thinking, Mac and cheese? Grilled cheese?"
Ray kept doll's voice even and calm, despite the pressure of wanting to break down. When Grassy didn't answer, Ray let out a quiet sigh.
"It's okay, I can make something else."
Doll assured.
"I just. I-I need you to eat at least something, Sweetie."
Grassy didn't respond, his grip getting a little tighter.
"Y-You don't have to eat it all, I just need you to have a little something on your stomach, okay?"
Ray tried to coax, already getting a few ingredients out, before letting out a shaky laugh.
"In fact, w-why don't we shake things up a little and have dessert for dinner first?"
Ray's smile was wobbly, struggling to hold everything together as Grassy still remained silent. The silverware quietly scraped against the plates as Ray gathered the utensils and sat them on the counter.
Opening the fridge, the lack of light reminded Ray that the building's power was out. Doll could only hope Four and X had stocked up on nonperishables.
Doll pulled out a cutely decorated cake…it was probably supposed to be the cake for the next Cake At Stake. Seeing as everyone was gone…it would have probably been better to have it now.
Once sliced and placed on the plates, Ray took doll's and doll's son's over to one of the island counters, placing it down and patting Grassy.
After a moment, Grassy started to climb down, though with quite a bit of hesitance. He glanced down at the cake slice, then back at Ray. With a soft smile, doll nodded.
Grassy picked up his fork and bit into the cake, eating it slowly at first, before gradually tearing into it.
Ray felt a wave of relief wash over doll, not bothering to eat doll's own as doll kept an eye on Grassy, watching as he finished his slice. Grassy dropped his fork onto his plate, yawning as he approached Ray once again, this time climbing up to settle into doll's arms.
He buried his face into doll's chest, sniffling again. Ray took a seat on the counter stool, pushing doll's slice of cake aside and tracing circles into Grassy's back.
