this is the most confusing thing thing ive ever een told
IT WAS SO MUCH MORE FAITHFUL THAN EVERYONE'S GIVING IT CREDIT FOR! like it stayed true to the essence of the book and the characters and the plot, and little changes they did make made the story better. And they worked omitted details into the script after these changes (like the tris/peter saving each other dynamic), i honestly thought they were gonna remove it but they just did it in a different way and that's fine??
I totally agree!! They definitely made changes in the movie but the overall theme and atmosphere from the book was definitely there. And especially with the idea of the box, I was skeptical at first but they connected it really well to the main idea of the book. The only thing I would’ve wanted was to give more screen time for some minor characters bc come on, we wanted to see more of Uriah and the others hahabut yeah as I was watching the movie, I could definitely see the connections to the book! GUYS JUST GO WATCH INSURGENT FOR YOURSELVES DESPITE WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING
