Sharing these photos I took last month of my ficus microcarpa "round leaf" also known as the Green Island Fig that was rootbound and needed to be repotted. This is an old plant that is already ready to be trained to a bonsai pot. To my surprise, I got 3 separate growouts within this old plant that has grown their own individual root system. Just goes to show how old this ficus really was thriving in its clay pot. The smallest of the 3 was placed in our 20+ year old Chinese Bonsai Pot with a lava rock. It was originally meant as a chinese lucky plant, complete with ribbons but was neglected in years.
