I cannot make my friends read my fics that are not their fandoms but god do I wish I got a comment from someone I know and someone who knows me

for a long time I was used to feedback from people actually pretty close to me and it mattered because I could literally read those in their voice? idk it mattered for a lot of reasons, and random readers and commenters, hello! you matter a whole fcking lot too <3

I'm just musing here and this is in no way a passive-aggressive declaration of my expectations I just need to vent my feelings

actually a freaking cute artist has bookmarked with a 'to read' tag and I know she draws scenes/moments from fics she likes and T__T it would be a dream come true level nice even if it takes years for her to get there

and okay like idk why I'm talking like I have more than one (1) such fic I just have like, 3-4 more upcoming that I know won't be read in my friend groups and I don't know how to get on the level of the big girls/gays/theys in regards to recognition and like make friends in that ship fandom

On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman once again spoke with Steve Koepfer, the owner and head coach of New York Combat Sambo. On August 22, in Varna, Bulgaria, the inaugural world championship was held by the recently formed International Federation of Combat Wrestling (FICW). Wrestlers from 12 countries competed in this historic event. Steve Koepfer served as the head coach of the 2015 Men's U.S. Combat Wrestling Team, which did quite well at it. Each of the U.S. team's five wrestlers won medals, including one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals. We spoke with Steve Koepfer by phone Monday. "It was a great tournament," he said. "I think for a first worlds, it was actually really, really pretty incredible. It reminded me a lot of the early days of grappling, back in the mid-'90s. There was a lot of excitement.
