Most Fiddlefords who went through the portal would not have one shoe. When Ford tugged the rope to get him back the only thing that came back for him is a shoe that probably smacked him in the face. Ford then makes it his mission to go across the galaxy trying this one shoe on every Fiddleford he comes across trying to find his long lost love.
Meanwhile Fidds is not only trapped in a nightmare realm but to only have one shoe to top it all off. The first thing that happened when Fidds went through the portal was he accidentally stepped in a puddle with his sock foot. This Fidds wasn’t so lucky and didn’t get picked up right away. He was probably treated very badly by some demon who ‘hired’ him to be his servant and spent many years being treated horribly before being rescued or freeing himself Princess Leia style.
Back at the Fiddledel mot many Fiddleford’s are happy with this man shoving a shoe in their face and begging them to try it on though. He tried this on a couple of evil Fiddleford’s and ended up having to run for his life. He has some embarrassing scars just from approaching the wrong Fidds. (read more here)
He does eventually find him and live happily ever after though. (more from here) Wander and the chief help him find the right one and the second he sees him, he doesn’t hesitate, he just sweeps him up Disney Princess style and kisses him, crying tears of joy. They had a beautiful Cinderella style wedding and you know Ford Slid a shoe on his foot at least once during the wedding to go with the theme.
