Get the Pitti 94 look: Mitch looks at some of his favorite streetstyle outfits and provides options and cheaper alternatives to nail these summer looks.
The Field Jacket.
Spent part of easter in Rome. Spring has arrived there. Don't know the maker of the priests shades, but he seems to be judging me.
Field jacket from Montedoro, Brooks Brothers shirt, Incotex pants, sneakers from Adidas/Sneakersnstuff and Garrett Leight shades.

I’m prepared to meet this storm, it’s not so fun when the sand they used on the ice flies around
The M-42 “Jump Jacket”
We’ve covered a lot of vintage military garb lately on Put This On. Here’s one of my favorite styles: the M-42 Paratrooper Jacket. It has angled pockets for easier cross-body access, and it’s perfect for tropical wear - or just wear over blue jeans.
I’ve seen one or two originals in the wild, but they’re pretty rare, and thus pretty expensive. Usually with vintage militaria, I’m an advocate of buying the real deal, but this is a good chance to go repro. The amazing Japanese reproduction company Buzz Rickson’s offers what I’m sure is a lovely one for about $400, but if that seems a bit rich to you, I’ve been pretty happy with the stuff I’ve bought from What Price Glory, who cater mostly to historical recreationists rather than selvedge denim enthusiasts. The WPG version is $75, and you can even buy matching pants.
