In Fields of Blue and Seas of Green
In fields of blue and seas of green,
Lies a land that’s not often found
Where lovers roam and wand’rers dream.
All are merry; e’erything’s serene.
Their love’s e’er flowing and unbound
In fields of blue and seas of green.
For farther than the eye can see,
There’s no trouble, nay, none around
Where lovers roam and wand’rers dream.
But was everything as it seemed?
Were dashes of love and hope drowned
In fields of blue and seas of green?
Alas! Fallaciously I’d seen
The wondrous sights and merry sounds
Where lovers roam and wand’rers dream.
Where once there laid the grandest scene,
Now love quarrels, and fights abound
In fields of blue and seas of green
Where lovers roamed and wand’rers dreamed.
