“i owe you,” fiewel removed his shoes and made his way towards the couch. “that doesn’t sound pleasant. i’m sorry that happened to you.” fiewel wrapped himself in one of the blankets, allowing himself to settle into the comfort of it. he was already starting to feel a little better, really.
“Someone found me eventually. Saved my frostbitten hide. I’m just glad you came to my door before it got that bad,” her voice is low and steady, but there’s a strange air of hospitality to it. Perhaps it was just the energy of her home. Someone with such a warm and welcoming space couldn’t be too horrible.
She makes her way to the kitchen to start an old looking kettle on the flame, quickly returning to the main room to light the fireplace. She adds fresh logs and lights a starter below them, waiting for the wood to catch before turning her attention back to the stranger. There was a chair near the end of the couch that creaked when she sat on it.
“So,” she began with a please huff, “What is your name? And what sort of tea do you like.”
