why do you think Lauren hates the rumour that she dated camila over so many other ones? shes spoken about it a lot but only reacted to a comment about her abusive relationship (laurens words) with Lucy. ik they actually dated tho so maybe its different.

With the camren stuff it was dominating her life and honestly? It partially always will so I think having something like that shoved in your face all of the time especially when it's something that annoys you is what makes her hate it even more.

She has no control over it, even though addressing it has actually helped over the last few years, it still will never stop being mentioned to her and over her socials (which tbh is honestly fucked up people tag her in stuff and go to her profile directly).

Back in the day though it was mainly do with her struggle she had with her sexuality I think, Lauren has spoke out on how it bothered her people were making these observations about her which made her in a way retract against it further.

They were all so young, it was a lot to be told by the world about her sexuality. (so valid)

I think how much it blew up and took over is what she hated most about it, don't get me wrong she still didn't like it being a thing at all but I think the popularity and inability to escape it is what made her really vocal about it.

She actually did make a dig recently towards Lucy and the Laucy shippers lol

I'll never get why Lauren brought camila up in the becky g podcast. idk what she was talking about before, like let it be and ppl won't bring it up no more. ik you have spoken about this on a few occasions. also like who is she to publicly define camilas sexuality? its so weird to me that she let us all know the confirmed sexuality of her band mate she hadn't spoken to publicly in 4 years cause nobody really knows your sexuality unless you actually tell them and even then its still not her place to talk about?? maybe im just too woke... I lost a lot of my respect for L after that not because she said it made her uncomfortable, being shipped and sexualized publicly with someone would make me uncomfortable too.

also the fact that she said "at that time" like eight times babe we know you aren't friends anymore like damn we get it 😭

My theory? That podcast was a set up for her to finally get this big monumental moment to say everything she had been wanting to say for years about the camren stuff.

Before anyone comes for me, I aint saying Lauren is entirely wrong for this, just saying it was clearly premediated for her to finally be able to shut it all down once and for all.

I know the shipping was bad, I get how it made her feel but why make such an effort to address a public matter about someone who you haven't publicly spoken to in four years? (at that time).

It just seems so odd to me, especially since after that interview I am pretty certain she hasn't talked about camren really at all.

Which convinced me even more this was something she was going to find an opening to bring up and go off.

I just found it hypocritical that Lauren 'assumed' Camila's sexuality on her behalf, made generalisations too even though she hates people doing stuff like that.

It's so hypocritical, even if Camila is straight she has never fully addressed that topic through her own words herself.

That card was played to help Lauren further her point and try to make sure her feelings got truly across to the watchers.

Lauren is entitled to feel all those things, I am not saying she didn't but it is also weird to talk about being made uncomfortable being shipping with a straight girl

But... I heard her say she loves making girls question their sexuality on Snow's podcast a few years back, post this massive blow up.

Isn't this super hypocritical? Like which one is it?

This is why I don't fully buy it and never will, the plan was to always not take accountable and blame every single thing on CS and THAT right there is what pisses me off the most.

Not everything is on the shippers.

Two things can be correct,

Lauren is right about many of the shipping elements BUT not everything falls entirely on the shippers solely.

I think the bunk is c and l bc at the beginning you can hear Lauren say something like "hey its okay babe" and "I --- do it" idk what comes between I and do it tho. and then she just disappears. also a question do you think that tweet were dinah replied to Lauren bf at the time saying "not but she really wants camila Bah Felicia" was a joke or genuine? I think at that point camren was already developed into something big and known throughout the group and fandom so why would she just say that and cause issues if it wasn't true and she knew Lauren hated it sm.. just like the cuddling pic

I need to play back the bunk episode because it's been a while since I have watched it to really think if I hear anything be said between them.

As for the Dinah replying to Lauren's bf that time, they were extremely young so it could of been immature messing around but given that it seemed Camila and Lauren shared feelings for one another, it definitely had a deeper meaning.

Not just Camila and Lauren knows what truly went on, the others girls know just as much which has always been interesting to me that no one seems to really talk about this.

Imagine the stuff all five of them know and don't speak about concerning the camren stuff, well apart from Lauren ofc.

Dinah truly was our captain, as much as it was a joke in the fandom, I really believe she wanted to do everything in her power to help push Camila and Lauren together.

She really did want her ship to sail but instead, it failed.

I think as things became more heated Dinah became less daring with it given how much Lauren began speaking out on it, she still had her moments in certain interviews and the iconic cuddling pic to maybe lowkey confirm fans weren't entirely crazy.

But eventually it stopped altogether when Camila and Lauren clearly stopped being as close and ended whatever they previously had.

Dinah was always our captain💞

People literally think they were having sex while the others were just there and cameras were rolling, I honestly think it's kind of weird people think that lol

Now let me explain though, I'm not saying it wasn't maybe like a heavy make out session that could of got a little heated but assuming it was them actually being sexual is just a no for me.

People's logic is:

moaning = sex

When it could of been just heated kissing and that was it which is sexual in nature but not actually full blown sexual acts.

Maybe I'm in the minority here on this topic lol but that's what I feel like personally.

crazy to see how quick Lauren was to shut down the rumours of her tweet that said smth like "fake that confidence bih one day it'll be real" being about camila.. she even replied twice. I can look at it in the way that she genuinely didnt mean it for camila and didnt want people to think that, or maybe she did and just didnt wanna face the medias hate and shade accusations

I have never seen or heard of this I don't think but I will take my usual stance of being in the middle as much as possible.

Given the wording, it can fully be implied to the CS because we know how verbal and shady Lauren is towards the camren stuff but I also think that could of been about anything in her life too tbh.

It could of been associated with drama going on in her personal life and we as fans wouldn't have any idea, as much as celebs put their lives out there, there is most of it fans haven't a clue about like truly.

Fans jump to conclusions and assumptions, we're all guilty at points of doing it but a lot of the hardcore CS are much more guilty of doing so.

I will add though, Lauren has always wanted to be verbal about CS but never wanted any 'backlash' from it in the same breathe you know?

Which is understandable, she is entitled to talk about how things affect her but she is in the public eye and if perceived as shady will be called out for it like anyone else.

I don't think she's ever been held accountable for trying to put it all on the CS, either people entirely believe her and label all CS crazy or many of the old CS fall for the 'I've always been the problem' tactic that Lauren clearly wanted CS to think of themselves as.

Sorry I ranted about your point being applied to camren as a whole than just Camila lol but it still applies though, people were going to assume any shade was directed towards Camila even if it wasn't.

But knowing Lauren I'm veryyyy sure at times it definitely was but she played it off and denied it, the same with the others too.

We can all be shady tbf to her.

I love Lauren and I doubt this would ever happen but I really hope someday camila is asked about Lauren or her career/projects and she gives an extremely supportive and uplifting answer. idk why but I think it would be funny to compare laurens responses to questions abt camila vs camilas answers to questions about Lauren and see which one is more mature. also idk why but I feel like if that happened Lauren would feel like shit.. I really didnt mean that in a bad way btw I just think maybe it would prevent Lauren from saying more bad/ shady shit about camila in the future and ofc we dont know what happened between them im not saying camila is innocent but when youre looking at it from a viewers perspective she seems much more mature.

First of all anon, do not feel like you need to explain yourself. I and many of you who agree about Lauren's attitude are not being hateful or shady about Lauren.

We are pointing out what is obvious and the fact others never want to call out the behaviour of celebrities they admire is genuinely concerning.

I love Camila but damn her façade during the Shawmila era annoyed me and was super disappointing, that's just my opinion lol

Anyways, I have thought about this a few times myself honestly and to me it would be really interesting for Camila to be more so specifically asked about Lauren.

I can tell you right now with a lot of confidence that Camila would absolutely show maturity about that subject, even if she feels a certain way she'll put on a front to not come across that way which I mean most people expect that from celebrities.

She would show much more grace, she would react much like Normani and Dinah when asked about her.

No one is innocent, if we're talking camren directly I feel those two had their parts to play for why things went the way they did.

But I hope one day Camila is asked directly, if not to see them all put stuff aside from a one off special for the fans would be amazing but super interesting.

Would you rather have a caminah reunion like irl or a positive camren social media interaction? by that i mean like if camila released something and lauren commented supporting her or something like that or camila and dinah hanging out irl. Someone asked me that a few days ago and im genuinely stumped i have no clue which one

If you had of asked me a while back I would of said a positive camren interaction on social media but now it's 1000% a caminah reunion.

I think I am past a point of camren irl. Even in small interactions tbh because it's just been so long and Lauren's hatred for the ship and volatile behaviour towards Camila just makes me not even care for it anymore.

Of course I will have moments of excitement about it but I mean just overall.

I still love and ship the old camren and believe it was real but not really them rn if you get me?

So for me given how close Camila and Dinah were, it would make me so fucking happy to see them reunite because I can tell Dinah still holds so much love and respect for Camila still.

It would be so much more sincere and loving than some social media camren moment.

I don't hope for camren really anymore because that ship has sailed (even in a platonic way) but caminah is genuinely a sight I hope one day to see again or some type of OT5 in general.
