But anon I completely agree, I think us shippers are guilty of reading into things majorly but there is no denying Lauren was SEETHING during this entire evening.

I talk about it in this linked post but I will just emphasise on the fact I think Lauren was pissed in general at management that particular night all around but Camila and Shawn being pushed together really cemented her obvious disdain for the evening lol

Hi anon!

I gave the song a listen there and wow it's super fucking good! An actual pity Camila scrapped it honestly but it is pretty short so I won't go into too much of a rant lol (Spoiler alert: I did😂)

First and foremost, I think a lot of CS need to realise that of course quite a few songs on xoxo are about him. As much as I believe there was a heavy PR element to Shawmila, I do not think that there wasn't an ounce of actual feelings between them.

It makes sense being about him since the album came out a year after the Coachella incident occurred and all of the drama.

Shawn and Camila knew one another for years before the whole PR stunt so I mean there was a deep connection there clearly.

I think Funerals can be applied to any of Camila's exes honestly, it's a generalisation of what it's like when you and someone break up and all the things you promised wouldn't happen end up happening.

It might be more intense with some more than others but that element is kind of natural to a lot of relationships and of course friendships too.

But the obvious candidate is Shawn.

However I will put my CS hat on for a second and just add this could certainly apply to Lauren too since it seemed that their rekindling majorly soured again post 2023.

I genuinely believe Camila and Lauren had on and off rekindled throughout the years even if they weren't actually together the entire time but in 2023 that seems to be when they stopped engaging even the odd time altogether on one another's posts.

Well, or at least being super obvious with it on their public accounts.

Lauren hangs around a lot of the same people Camila once did too, I also feel like those two shared a really deep connection to the point of being so consumed with one another they always thought they could remain something to a certain extent.

But again that also could heavily apply to Shawn.

My heart wants to believe it's about Lauren but my head is being rational and saying Shawn.

Overall though, as I said I do think it is about the essence of break ups and exes in general but of course she probably wrote it with someone in mind.

Apparently back in 2024 a fan asked camila to sign a 7/27 cd which also has laurens signature on it and in the cover lauren is right next to camila so apparently someone said camila got all nervous when she saw laurens signature. I honestly dont rlly believe that but also the person i asked spoke Portuguese so it was kinda difficult to understand but apparently that happened..

I do not like to discredit people's experiences at all because I wasn't there but when it comes to things like this I am always reluctant to entirely believe them you know?

Camila could of been acting normal and the person could of interpreted her reaction in the way they wanted to (as CS we're all guilty of doing this sometimes)

I do think there has been times though she probably has signed stuff and made a joke or maybe she felt a little awkward so I am not saying it doesn't happen just that I am reluctant sometimes to fully believe it.

Us CS can delude ourselves at times lmao

There was a recent similar scenario of Camila signing a fan's album and the fan already had Lauren's and someone else's signature and she said something along the lines of 'I see you already have some' and laughed it off.
