do you think it was the girls that wrote the statement about Camila leaving and then the other one as well that they made like 20 minutes later I don’t exactly know how much longer but they made two statements in one night which absolute bullshit? For the record I don’t think it was them who wrote it as much as I dislike ot4 I don’t think they would make the entire statement about Camilla leaving about themselves and where they’re going in their future. That’s why I kind of prefer little mix better because their post about jesy was all about jesy ykwim. Also, on another note, I still read Camilas statement to this day. It is so mature and so well written and you can tell that it is actually her that wrote it. We don’t know what happened between the five of them, but from where im standing it looks like Camila was the more mature one that dealt with things better.
I do not believe the girls wrote their statements at all no, that was clearly the label and management doing everything in their power to stir the pot and create so much public drama.
I mean the more drama meant more publicity which therefore meant more income so it benefited them in everyway possible at the expense of the girls images.
The girls weren't angels, but I do believe things were so mixed up by the label it made them come across more bitter than they wanted to and then they kind of had to go with it.
I mean they didn't get what they wanted and Camila did so of course they are going to be more bitter and maybe not as mature about it you know?
Nonetheless, Camila has always been much more mature overall in this situation. I do think Dinah and Normani especially have really matured and you see that respect they have for Camila still to this day. As for Lauren and Ally it's more complicated and confusing at least imo.
Camila's statement does read as if she wrote it herself honestly, it's really refreshing and I truly do think she didn't want them all to end up on horrible terms like they did for a long time but again she did get a way out.
In the end, Camila knew her leaving would cement the fact she would never have close connections with the girls ever again. It sucks but it's the truth, she needed to do it for her own career and be selfish which isn't always a super bad thing.
The others were stuck with no funding and their branding tarnished in a way for the rest of the active two years they had. They never recovered from the 'Camila leaving' image imo, it was pretty impossible for them to given how public everything was when stuff went down.
Camila too had her own branding difficulties given the immense amount of hate she received.
Everyone in their own way got fucked over tbh, some more than others.
Maybe one day we'll get a full tell all from all five of them but until then it's all down to personal observation and opinions.
