1. Favorite children’s movie and why?
Ahhhh I watch so, so, so many children's movies, this is a hard one! I'm going to have to say either Despicable Me, or Ferngully: The Last Rainforest
2. One thing that you are confident about?
I am confident that this school year is going to be extremely difficult, but also a lot of fun! I definitely just sounded like a grade school teacher...
3. What Pokemon would you want as a companion?
CYNDAQUIL.
4. Why do you use Tumblr?
Because sometimes I feel like I don't have a whole lot of friends in the real world, or people that want to interact with me, and it's really awesome being able to see a dashboard full of things that interest me and things that I have in common with people all over the world. It's really great, and it makes me feel a whole lot less lonely.
5. If you could only eat one type of dessert for the rest of your life, what would you choose?
Hmmmm, I would so Tiramisu, but I also ALWAYS choke on the powder, so I'm going to have to go with Ben & Jerry's Americone Dream ice cream. It's dabomb.com

1. What are your favourite and least favourite fruits?
I like bananas, especially when they get slightly soft and spotty. My family doesn't like super sweet bananas so if they end up too ripe for them I eat them. I don't like the texture of pears. Both the fruit and the skin weirds me out. It all just gives me the willies.
2. If you could see any band or artist in concert right this instant, living or dead, who would you see?
Well, the bands I'd wanna see are more broken up/changed lineups than dead. I'd either wanna see Jawbreaker's 24 Hour Revenge Therapy tour or Polysics with Kayo back. Both bands have a close fanbase and demonstrate wicked energy on stage, so it'd be fun either way.
3. Name an unpopular opinion you have.
I'm against gun control in the way that it has been presented. Lately gun control has centered on methods which hamper legal acquisition of firearms. Which, while sounding well and good, affects mostly those who go through the LEGAL channels of acquiring firearms. There's nothing stopping someone truly motivated by some psychosis or violent-oriented goal from buying their guns through elicit methods. I believe that gun violence is better reduced by focusing on measures that crack down on illegal gun sales, but more importantly places a great deal of emphasis on mental health programs.
4. What do you think happens after you die?
Although I was raised Catholic, I would consider myself more of a religious pluralist. If a god/creator exists, I like to think that the shared values and morals of many world religions points to a creator that manifests itself differently for each culture. If the penultimate creator of all existence is truly loving and just, that creator could not happily condemn part of its creation to death/permanent separation from it. Why, it would be contradictory to say "god" is both loving and vengeful, or at least accepting of the fact that there will be a permanent detachment. I think that eventually all that is and ever will be will find itself back in the whole. I can't tell you what it'd all look like, but yeah. I'm kinda nuts in this regard.
5. What would you do if you found a $20 bill lying in the middle of a busy sidewalk?
I'd try to find some sort of authority figure and tell them about it, but they'd probably look at me funny and just take the money/tell me to keep it (at least that's what happened when I found a $10 bill).
6. Did you ever want to be an astronaut? Would you go into space if the opportunity presented itself?
Nope! Too afraid of heights. And small spaces. And explosive, crushing death.
7. Have you ever read or written fanfiction? If so, what fandom was it for?
Hahaha nope
8. What’s your favourite song from the past year?
Green Day, "Lazy Bones". Probably one of the handful of songs I liked from their trilogy. It's got some catchy hooks and I'm a fan of parallel lyrics.
9. Do you want to get married? Why or why not? And if so, how do you envision your wedding?
I do! I'd get married to Kate in a heartbeat if I could. Here's the thing, though. We haven't really talked up an elaborate wedding or anything. She would fly down here and we'd get squared away at the courthouse with the marriage license and all. Then we'd have some family and friends over for a small reception at a restaurant or something with little finger foods and lots of sweets. The centerpiece, though, would be a cake topped with a two little figures (representing Kate and I) happily riding a dinosaur toward our new life full of adventures. The BIG spending will go towards a honeymoon at Disney World. Yeee.
10. Which, if any, celebrity death upset you the most?
I'm not sure if you'd call him a celebrity, but Steve Irwin's. It was just so sudden, and he died doing what he loved with creatures that we normally consider benign. I had grown up watching his show, and he was partly responsible for my great interest in marine biology and animals in general. The worst part for me was the fact that someone had killed and stranded a bunch of stingrays on the beach after his death. That would be the last thing Steve would want done in his memory.
11. If you’re colouring in a colouring book, would you rather use crayons, markers, pencil crayons, or paints?
I liked coloured pencils the most. They offer a nice versatility for me, and when I was younger I'd painstakingly sharpen them all when I was done. Every. Single. One. I wore down the powder blue ones pretty quickly with all my sea life drawings.
