This makes my heart happy! #Repost @pinksuedeshoe with @repostapp ・・・ I've got a LOT of work sewing ahead of me, but before I start all that I needed to make something pretty just for fun. This block is from @nataliabonner #ohanaquilt pattern. All proceeds from the pattern are going towards her moms cancer treatments. Also, I really like big block quilts. I designed this pattern using half square triangles so the quilt will go together very quickly and there is no wasting fabric. We are still waiting to hear all of o the results from her surgery last week, but for now she is at home healing. Thank you so, so, so much to everyone that has purchased quilt block patterns! I started this little project without telling my mom, @kathleenwhiting. She was working a 12 hour shift and when she got of work I sent her a message telling her what I had done and that I had transferred money to her account. Her response, "I can't stop crying, thank you all so much." Today she had her first surgery. The Dr.'s had to remove a bit more than expected, and she's quite sick right now, but we're all still thinking positive thoughts for her. I have the second #fightforkathleen block ready and on the blog and website today. Hop over there to read more about this pattern.
