As you hear your friend call out you begin to walk up the stairs to meet him. Was he napping or something? Or maybe his injuries were getting to him again, great. Your pace quickens as you approach his bedroom door and open it. Praying to Arceus for several different reasons.
You see Cheren lying in bed, and make your way over to the bedside, taking a seat at one side of it.
"You doing..alright? How are the…injuries?"
Cheren wants you to come over? He’s immobile for some reason? Oh dear!

Faster than a speeding surskit you grab your coat and pokeballs and head for the door but then you stop—you live on the top floor of a tall apartment building. You can’t afford to wait for the elevator or take the stairs!
You run the other way towards you balcony and once you get outside you throw a pokeball over the edge. A moment later there’s a burst of light below and your huge volcarona swoops up to perch on the wrought-iron railing. In no time the two of you are sailing across the water, the city’s lights shrinking behind you.
You knock at Cheren’s door but then let yourself in, remembering that he said he doesn’t want to move. "Cheren?" you call into the house. You can see light spilling in from the sitting room. You hope Cheren likes the “Jack’s FInest Cup O’ Soup!” you stopped in Virbank to get for him.
You sit up as Touko sits at the foot of your bed, deciding it would be best not to lie to her.
"They're flaring up a bit, but I think they'll be fine. It was just getting me thinking about... what we should-"
Just then, you hear your door open and the unmistakable voice of Burgh issuing up the staircase. Just in time.
"Upstairs, Burgh!" you shout down to him, scooting closer to Touko to make room on the bed for Burgh to sit once he made it up there. perhaps this wasn't the best place for a meeting. "Sorry, Touko. I, uh... thought it might be best to call people who should be filled in?"
Are you suddenly bi now? I heard you like a dude, is that true?
"WHO TOLD YOU???"
"I MEAN... No. Nope. Nope, not true."

"I DIDN'T WANT IT. IT JUST... APPEARED. SOMEBODY PUT IT IN MY BED AND I'M GETTING RID OF IT. WHY DO YOU ALWAYS COME IN AT THE WORST TIMES??"

Cheren backed away as far as possible, as quickly as possible. He had done something to tick Touko off (again) and he was terrified of getting hit (again).
"Look, I'm sorry!!" he yelled, in a wild attempt to diffuse her anger. It didn't work. She just stood there, her fists clenched at her sides, shaking with emotion. "I... I don't know what I did, but... I'll fix it! I'll fix it!"
Honestly, he really did have no idea what he had done to upset his friend, but he wasn't going to take any chances. He had done something to trigger her temper and he had to diffuse it before she lashed out in a way she (and he) would regret.
Thinking quickly, he pulled up the internet on his Xtransceiver. He had done this several times to cheer up Touya... perhaps distracting Touko with videos of her favorite Pokemon would work as well.
"Touko, look!" he said, desperately waving his wrist around in her face. "Baby Deino!! You like that, don't you??" On the Xtransceiver screen was a video of a few newly hatched Deino, playing with one another. Touko loved Deino. Please, please, please let this work.
Touko simply glared at Cheren for a few moments, but made the mistake of flashing her eyes down towards the screen. The second she laid eyes on the baby Pokemon, her expression changed. She continued to watch the video in silence, and Cheren could feel his shoulders relax. When the video was over, Touko stood in silence for a moment, continuing to gaze at the blank screen.
Then, sighing, she looked back up at her friend.
"...Play another one, Cheren."
“Offer Me”
...Weird. That was the only word to describe the feeling of ringing the doorbell of the previous champion's house. It was even weirder as she stood there, shuffling her feet on the doormat. The box in her hands was unusually heavy despite its smaller size, and weighed against her arms uncomfortably as the minutes passed.
"...Guess she's not home, huh...?"
Roxie sighed and bent over to leave the box at the doorstep. There wasn't a note, but she figured Touko could figure out who it was from. After all, who else had such awesome taste in boots?
Why do you have puppets..?
