Got distracted with a bunch of random ideas that popped into my head. Here's a bunch of random renders from said ideas.
I don't like posting my builds or art online too much anymore. Anyways, I managed to come up with an alternative version of @toakiora's torso that they built forever ago. I also came up with a away to add a thigh swivel on to legs. I've also been working on trying to come up with a proper mascot for this page(Gorgonpictured above). I've been working on that more passively though. To go along with that, I've been working on making props for my renders so the characters I build aren't just rendered in empty space. I know this makes more work for me but I really think this'll give more life to said characters.
Speaking of characters, I've been working on a band of prey animals. I'm not fully done with this and I'm still working out the Drummer, Vocalist, and Pianist. If you have any name suggestions for the stag and possum they'll be considered and greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I'm not sure if I posted any of these here or not but, here they are. I've been dabbling in mecha design as of late as well. Coming up with these different designs was challenging but, they helped me to come up with new ideas for future builds. This is a bit of a longer post with seemingly random topics strung together. However, this just feels right for me to do this instead of only ever posting about a project that I'm inevitably gonna forget or get bored of. I'd rather post all that I do just to at least come back to it at a later time. Either way, enjoy!
Here's a bird that I don't that I posted here before. Kind of an old build he is but I never really gave him a name either. If you have any suggestions please feel free to toss them my way. I'm still working on that little bionicle project I mentioned awhile back. I just had to put it on the back burner while I dealt with some life situations. Thankfully nothing stressful. They just took time away from most or my projects. Anyways, enjoy!
Has no name. Just wanted to test out some really cool paints I bought recently. Sorry about the messy desk. I let the parts sit for a day or two after painting, and after the paint was hard enough, I got pretty excited and wanted to take pictures as soon as I ccould.
I may give these painted parts to a dear friend and switch them out with blue parts. Maybe. Either way, enjoy!
Pretty much done unpacking after all this time, lost motivation, got it back. Now, I'm trying to warm back up to building and posing.
Here we got Kawhina(Custom-Built Vahki) and Harikoa(Onu-Matoran), along with some other scraps for some generic vahki and the elite vahki. These two have pretty much nothing written down about them aside from: - Onu-Matoran delves into old world ruins(Will be expanded upon later) - Onu-Matoran finds remains of vahki - Desides to make bodyguard with most of the parts he finds
-Makes some adjustments and custom parts -Somehow reprograms the knowledge center. -Doesn't do a good job, ends up with hoochie mama twice his size - They go on delves into the old world together
-Skylarking ensues I really had no name for the two until recently. I really wanted to build on the idea of custom built vahki. Even when they were originally in service and before makuta and the visorak hordes. As for "old world", that refers to the matoran universe. The great spirit robot lays damaged and most of, if not, all of the inhabitants leave it behind, learning to live and get along with their new spherus magnan neighbors. They scavenge what the matoran and other inhabitants of the matoran universe refer to as the "old world". Instead of it being immediately stripped of parts, I like to think of it as still being an on going process Considering how big the thing is and what's contained inside. The secrets it holds for newer generations of adventurers, scavengers, and delvers alike. Anyways, I'll go back to workshopping those elite vahki designs. That gray one with the orange head is supposed to be Kraahu, instead of being able to split it's body it can take control of other vahki near it with almost surgical precision. (It's totally not an excuse to ditch that body splitting thing). Expect more vahki in the future. Maybe some more customs. Enjoy for now!
Torso redux. Something of a table scrap, sketch sort of deal. To help, with warming up since I haven't built physically in a WHILE. I might finish it i might not. Also testing out some new paints i bought recently. Enjoy!
