“ Then why does it feel like I didn’t? ” her voice is laced with sadness as she turns to face the female situated across the table from her. Being an idol was tough. The pressure of being constantly watched proving to be too much for Sooyoung to handle at times, regardless of how calm and collected she seems. Today was one of those days. 

Her day had been just like every other day with her shooting well into the night for her upcoming drama. Maybe it was the stress, or perhaps the exhaustion of having filmed for days on end with little to no sleep. Still, Sooyoung couldn’t shake the bitter after taste her actions left in her mouth. “ I just- I can’t help but feel sorry for the way I turned them down the way I did. They came all the way there to support me Bona, and I couldn’t even accept their gifts because I knew I’d get in trouble for it. ” A small sigh leaves her lips as the event from last night begins to unfold in her head.

↪COMFORT SENTENCE STARTERSSTATUS: ACCEPTING!

A wave of sadness courses through Sooyoung’s body and she almost has the urge to resist, to deny the reality because why wouldn’t she need them? Of course she needed them. However the female’s words continue to ring in her ears until she eventually finds herself nodding along in agreement.

They’re not that important. You can live without them Sooyoung.

She continues to repeat the words, willing herself to actually believe what she was saying even though she didn’t want to.  Heaving a sigh, she slowly forces herself to back away from the stall, still unable to tear her eyes off of the latest make-up collection that her favorite make up brand had just released. It isn’t until she feels the other’s hand tug at her wrist that she turns her attention away, eyes meeting the Nyx’s sympathetic gaze directed towards her.

“ I mean, you’re right about it being unnecessary, but since I’m not going to buy the latest collection, does this mean I can still buy other things in the store? ”

There’s a small smile etched on Sooyoung’s face as she quickly responds to the message, typing and retyping several different responses before finally hitting send.

Staring at her phone, she doesn’t bother waiting for a reply from Jennie before she’s typing away, already slipping into her shoes with the intent to find her friend.
