Seeing the female in person reminded him of the time her group was under fire for apparently making “claims” which involved EXO. At that time, they were stuck in the haze of promotions for their different releases, some shows they guested on here and there, and the year-end events at which they performed. Constant threads and comments on the internet piqued his interest in an undoubtedly negative way, so he consulted the management. Was he allowed to comment on this issue? Definitely not. He was told that it wasn’t good for them, since they really were at the peak of their promotions. Anything beyond their focus just wasn’t to be welcomed. So, he kept quiet.

Truth be told, he had a lot to say. Because for one, it truly wasn’t the girls’ fault; they had said nothing, and was only compared by managements. Secondly, why was it suddenly wrong to be given titles? He found it cool and funny, he still does. The two groups shared the same outer-space concept, only theirs had always been executed with a tinge of cuteness. And that’s exactly what he’s saying right now, as they’re having a totally-coincidental lunch together. “I really didn’t understand. Cause, to be honest, I agree with them. You guys are the female EXO.” Soft laughter soon follows.

👀 + what's the hardest thing you have to endure as a leader for your group?

Send my muse “👀 + a question” and they’ll have to answer with 100% honesty.

I’ve previously discussed about few things that I find toughas the leader, but among them, there are two things that I find the hardest part: one, it is the fact that I am responsible of others and the team–the tough of that itself sometimes makes me feel sorry for others because I often feel like I’m not worthy of such responsibility, as there are many times when I doubt myself, which then lead to questions that I asked to to no one but myself: things such as ‘why me, and why not the others?’. 

Thankfully, the kids reassured me a lot on that – which I am thankful and also sorry, because I always thought that I should be the one who should trust them more and confide in them. Those worries doesn’t come as often nowadays, though! So lately, the hardest part is waking up the kids early in the morning and making sure that everyone is practicing hard because our comeback is just around the corner.

“Why?” It’s not that he doesn’t believe her he’s just generally curious about her response. Most of the time Mark doesn’t do things unless he’s completely sure about them, giving advice however - he thinks he can remain detached because it’s up to the other party to decide their fate. That’s for things less serious, like what to eat, how to live life, career choices, the fate of the world in an apocalypse.

Today’s task involves something a little more serious - disguises.

He’d seen Jiyeon cross the threshold of the shop four times before he decided they needed to upgrade their approach. Running from fans once was enough times in his book and hiding snacks from a manager was another. Scrutiny put a halt on their most simple of plans but he wasn’t going to let it stop them today. 

So he fixes her hat once more, hair tucked into a bun in the back and the mask covering the most visible parts of her face. Mark’s usually this meticulous with things, but for various reasons. “Usually, the worst disguise is the best disguise and honestly I think the donut hoodie is a little too distracting but,” Today it’s a simple principle, relaxation. “we’re gonna go over, ask for two waffle sundaes, and pretend we speak minimal Korean. You and I both need this ice cream.”
