Some of Tove Jansson’s sketchwork of Fillyjonk for Tales from Moominvalley and Moominvalley in November. If you’re familiar with the books you’ll recognize the general motifs, Tove did lots of variations of the same pictures again and again to find just the right one for publication. My favorite touch that never made it into any final work is that nasty fox skin wrapped around her neck in the first pic.
