EXTERMINATE!!

A Dalek invaded the school building during the 20th anniversary party. Luckily Set & Props head tutor Francis was able to subdue it (with cake and fizzy drinks). Next time it surely won’t be as easy!

Great fun (and hard work) building this Dalek with fellow Set & Props peeps, as well as Philip Sharpe and Lee Bennett. And an honor bringing it to life during the ceremony. I'm having such an amazing time at school and can't wait to bring my new knowledge into future work. Finally getting closer to being a professional maker in the industry. 🤩

Commissions wip update #3. (also here & here)

Took the ceramics out of the kiln this morning; the first firing finished! ✌ Today I’ve spent all day putting glaze on the inside of them (so they don’t leak) as well as paint all the details on the outside in the dark blue glaze that I used on previous pottery (x, x) which, before firing it again, looks something like this:

Just a little more work left before they can be shipped to their owners!!

There may be some extra ones that I’ll sell (or possibly put into a giveaway) if people are interested. Despite the amount of work, it’s been great fun making these!! And I’ll definitely look into making more in the future. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧

Sustainable Bracelets & Choker (design workshop with Johanna Törnqvist, x)

Last week we had a workshop called “precious trash” where we reused and re-purposed waste/disposable material. I made bracelets and chokers using medical instrument tubing from my fathers business and lace/buttons from my grandmothers old sewing shop. We finished the workshop with a presentation, where I showed the accessories together with a moodboard and model photos of classmates.

Spent all day yesterday with HEMA club building bucklers for practice.

Mine is the top black one, I dressed it with leather on the inside to cover all the nails, and I’ll paint it with linseed oil paint and nail rawhide around the rim to make it more durable for sword fighting.

The Four Horsemen.

My project during our three week sculpting class. The four sculptures represent the four horsemen of the apocalypse; in order of appearance: Pestilence, Death, Famine & War. BG Music: Vapor by KYRKAN.

Excuse the quality, I shot it on my S5 in existing lighting. I’ll upload better pictures once I’ve done the actual presentation :)
