no but really watching vampires smp or monster high freak show on a massive screen is another kind of humiliation ritual
So here are four highlights from yesterday’s session, Sebastião and Emil tried various rules from the Montante and several movements from Jogo do Pau de Cepães. One G11 on each side and a Retaguarda each. Enjoy!
Godinho’s second chapter
In this video the montantero faces two opponents in a very narrow alley, so narrow that it makes all (exept vertical) hews impossible. It would, however, be very wrong to think that this is a bad situation for the two-handed sword to be used in. In this tutorial we will show you that the advantage of reach is still very defining in combat.
Our second video in the series and the first covering one of Godinho’s rules for the Montante. We decided to make the video for his fourth rule first as it deals with a single opponent and is easy to learn for any beginner. Spent all day yesterday with HEMA club building bucklers for practice.
Mine is the top black one, I dressed it with leather on the inside to cover all the nails, and I’ll paint it with linseed oil paint and nail rawhide around the rim to make it more durable for sword fighting.
