Today I want to introduce you to Maria. I also met her at @shrinersspringfield Maria came from Cyprus and really became a part of my family for the.tkme I was at shriners with her. Maria adopted my dad as her dad. Her father also had a beard and I guess that was enough for her. Her dad also had a heart condition and was awaiting a transplant which made it impossible for their family to make the nearly 6000 mile flight. Maria was in the hospital to straighten her bowed legs but she was also deaf. She was only 3 yrs old at the time . She felt.so.strongly about my dad that one day I tried sitting near him and somehow she sensed I was there. Without ever seeing me she spin around and started scratching my knees and pushing me away. It sort of became a game after that to see if I could get close without her knowing it. I never did it haha. She had an amazing ability to sense what was going on around her. My dad became friends with his dad and they wrote letters after we made it home.
