Sam was running--running for quite some time now. The noise behind him that consisted of paws running and aggressive growling had grown louder, and he was sure his legs were going to fail any minute from how much he had been pushing himself earlier. He shouldn't have been out this late, wandering around but he couldn't control it. One minute he was inside his house, experiencing headaches and excessive amounts of pain, and the next thing he knows he blacked out and woke up outside, in the middle of the woods. And so he tried to make his way back to the main part of the city, but ran into something on the way. The figure seemed human, but when it had turned to face Sam, those yellow eyes and fangs bared hostility and so he ran. Crazy thing was, the beast stood on its hind legs as if human. Sam just hoped he would run into someone into help soon.

Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies
Must it take a life for hateful eyesTo glisten once againFive hundred years like GeligniteHave blown us all to hellWhat savior rests while on his cross we dieForgotten freedom burnsHas the Shepard led his lambs astrayto the bigot and the gunMust it take a life for hateful eyesTo glisten once again‘Cause we find ourselves in the same old messSingin’ drunken lullabiesI watch and stare as Roisin`s eyesTurn a darker shade of redAnd the bullet with this sniper lieIn their bloody gutless cellMust we starve on crumbs from long agoThrough bars these men made steelIs it a great or little thing we foughtKnelt the conscience blessed to killMust it take a life for hateful eyesTo glisten once again‘Cause we find ourselves in the same old messSingin’ drunken lullabiesAh, but maybe it`s the way you were taughtOr maybe it`s the way we foughtBut a smile never grins without tears to beginFor each kiss is a cry we all lostThough nothing is left to gainBut for the banshee that stole the grave‘Cause we find ourselves in the same old messSingin’ drunken lullabiesI sit in and dwell on faces pastLike memories seem to fadeNo colour left but black and whiteAnd soon will all turn greyBut may these shadows rise to walk againWith lessons truly learntWhen the blossom flowers in each our heartsShall beat a new found flameMust it take a life for hateful eyesTo glisten once again‘Cause we find ourselves in the same old messSingin’ drunken lullabies‘Cause we find ourselves in the same old messSingin’ drunken lullabiesSingin’ drunken lullabies
