Project 1B Final Mockup Production
I decided to put up this post to show a mockup of how the continuity, narrative and motion would look all together. In hindsight, I believe the final two images match together better as an advert sequence compared to the three. However, I feel images 1 and 2 really mesh together from pencil to ink, which eventually led to my reasoning to have the inked drawing cross into the centrefold.
The idea of continuity plays out from the elements which can be seen repeated in each element and also the positioning of each image. I don’t believe that many of us would think about it but as an advert sequence, I believe the three pictures should work on a single page together. My mockup shows how the images would look like over a two fold centre spread, so the inked Chihiro would be moving from the previous page into the next page quite literally. I did this because I wanted it to feel as though Chihiro “jumped” from one page to the other.
