Game of the year? (Your favorite?)

For me it will have to be Final Fantasy XIV. Not jus tbecause of the story, but also the community.

I made so many friends, even went on vacation with some of them this year!

I love the characters, the story and the gameplay. I love the sheer amount of things I still need to do, even after hitting my second year of playing. Even though there are plenty of things that are less good about it (from what I heard) it truly might be my favorite game of all time.
