Day 3: Speedate 1 - Kalise
Kalise was still the one he found it hardest to talk to, so because he knew she liked the outdoors, he hoped taking her to the bluffs would make it a little bit easier to get to know her, than in a house full of people.
“It’s nice here.” “I hoped you might like it.”
She gave him a shy smile, but like before she seemed to stop talking.
“So what made you want to try this? I mean, the whole challenge?” “Something new, and finding love didn’t seem to bad either.” “Is it anything like you expected.” “Honestly I didn’t know what to expect.”
He kept trying to make her open up to him, but she just answered, and went back to being quiet. In the end, it just became an akward long pause between them, before Chris made one more attempt to find something she would open up about.
“Tell me about where you come from?”
It suddenly took 20 minutes before he got to say another word, Kalise suddenly realizing she had been talking for a very long time without him getting more than a mhm or two in.
“Oh god.. I am so sorry.. I just blabbered on.. didn’t I?” “Yep, and thank you for that.”
She smiled, the two talking a bit more about her home and herself before the two headed back to the house.
@waysims He finally got her to talk to him, and they actually had a good time. For a while there, I was worried she would just stand there quietly for the whole date, phew!
