it's said that prison is not only a place to keep criminals who are DANGEROUS away from every day citizens who are innocent and viable to society, but also a rehabilitation center. men who were murderers come out changed and something of a newly born s a i n t that no longer pose a threat to anyone, not even a fly. but what happens to those who are innocent to begin with ? do they leave prison a hardened version of themselves or are they simply the same ? only time could tell that truth, especially regarding daewon. his sentence was one that should not have happened in the first place ; he the sacrifical lamb to save the sins of his cousins and own BROTHER ( whom he loved and adored without bounds ) but was it worth it, in the end ? there had been radio silence from all cousins, save for one, and very few visits from sukwon. and if daewon were honest with himself he had been very bitter at first --- the one person who should've visited him the most in fact did not do so. and it hurt, tremendously. being free again somehow felt different and this time around more burdensome than before, there was information daewon held that he could or couldn't share that would change the course of both his AND sukwon's life, but even with the full knowledge of his own brother's betrayal, dae has decided ( for the time being at least ) to keep it between him and suk. only time could t e l l what exactly would happen between them and how it would affect everything ( and EVERYONE ) and that's probably what scared him the most. he's a free man once more but he's never felt L O S T. before, his home was the mansion and his parents no longer wished to see him in public for the sake of their image, it was just too embarrasing for them to be seen with a once incarerated FELON --- the fear of contacting sukwon was almost too high and so his last resort of getting an address from jaehwan was the best he could do. showing up on sukwon's doorstep was probably the last thing his brother was expecting but he's there, like a dog with its tail tucked between legs in need of a couch to crash on desperately. as knuckles crash against the door with just enough force to create alert & head bowed in shame, eyes boring holes into the welcome matt below his feet. the door opens but there's no chance of daewon looking up to meet the eyes of his brother, something ugly swells in his belly & forces him to keep eyes glued to the floor. ‘ i know you probably weren't expecting to see me show up here, hyung, but i didn't know where else to go . . . the manor was empty and jaehwan just gave me this address and told me i'd find you here. so, if it's not any trouble, could i crash on your couch for a little bit ? ’
