The central bank of Nigeria is making good its constitutional role of protecting the public in matters of financial and economic oversights. Recently, the apex bank has been realing out measures to assist the general public from the ill effect of the poor performance of some commercial banks. The latest in that series is the empowerment given the general public to petition the apex bank via a telephone portal, should any bank reject mutilated Naira notes.
