Finding the Harmony [shslaccompanist]
Hitomi hadn’t practiced for the majority of the week. She had extra reading assignments over the past few days in addition to the various assignments she normally had to work on. She was mentally exhausted, but since things were starting to let up a bit, she decided she needed to take a breather and practice. After all, it normally helped her clear her mind.
But since she didn’t want to practice from any of the books she had stashed away on the shelf in her room, she decided to look in the music archives room. In there, a wider variety was tucked away that weren’t out where other scores that were more durable to being in constant use and such were placed in the library.
She walked the familiar paths toward her destination, but instead of turning to enter into the practice room, she continued on for a bit before stopping in front of a door. Her brows furrowed slightly upon noticing that it was slightly ajar with the light on inside. It wasn’t strange for other people to go into this room as well. After all, it’s not like she owned everything inside. It’s more that she never noticed anyone else go in or out while she was there or close to it.
Pushing the door open, she paused slightly at the loud creaking noise it made before stepping through. Her eyes surveilled the room before her gaze met another’s.
“Ah, sorry. I sometimes forget how loud the door is,” she apologized.
Her hands fiddled with the sides of her skirt before she nodded her head slightly in the other girl’s direction and moved to open one of the drawers, thumbing through the numerous compositions.
