I almost never talk about other people's blogs but lately I've been really inspired by findingthinagain and odolnost to try out king pigeon and to try getting into headstand without help. King pigeon is going to take some time, my back is not yet that flexible, but I know I'll get there. As for headstand, so far I'd been to psyched out to try and cartwheel into it because I was afraid I'd fall and break my neck or something, but I dedicated my practice tonight to improving my flexibility and learning new things, so I decided it was time to get over that fear. And guess what. I did it. Just stand, point, turn, set, flip up. Not such a big deal after all. It is quite the shoulder workout though, and while I plan on practicing it every day from now on, I know my shoulders are an area I can work on when I lift. I love being inspired by other people on here because I know their skills came from dedication and persistence. That's what I love about yoga. I don't have to feel bad about myself if I can't do something yet, because that's just it, I can't do it yet. I can do it, if I keep trying and keep practicing.
