Negative Energy: It’s like dropping a kid off at the daycare. As soon as you walk in you see a dozen or more little bacteria banks drooling and touching everything in the room. Don’t get me wrong, kids are cute and I was lucky enough to have my own but, you know what I mean. Cute, chubby cheeked Billy has snot running down his chin. Little pink dress wearing Susie is coughing and sneezing. Bacteria and germs lurking in every building block and in every cubby. Invisible to the eye but the potential is there for a really bad week ahead. Our lives are kinda like that. Invisible to the eye, negative energy has the potential to spread like a virus. Some people exude negative energy (you know who they are), and others might just be having a bad day. The guy you sit next to on the bus, the barista at the coffee shop, a coworker a friend? One little brush and we can feel the impact negative energy has on us. Oh, we’ll blame it on a restless night, dehydration, hunger, caffeine withdrawals, or getting out on the wrong side of the bed. I’m looking forward to standing around the coffee machine with coworkers, talking about the weekend and just saying “There was some really strong negative energy in the elevator this morning that put me out of alignment.” Next time this happens to you, try this: Take your open and relaxed right hand and bring it to your chest. Your thumb and index finger at the base of each clavicle. Recognize the negative energy in your body, where is it coming from? Don’t think, just feel. Take a deep breath through the nose and see that negative energy flowing and consolidating to the center of your chest. I’ve always used a dark smoke or mist as my visualization. Take a long slow out breath through the mouth (longer than the exhale) and let out an audible sigh...aaaaaaah. Again, visualizing the negative energy exiting the mouth, rising and disappearing into the air above you. Repeat several times until you feel like you’ve expelled the negative energy or you feel a shift. Give it a shot now, you’ll feel the difference. . . breathe #findyourbreath #innerpeace #bepresentinthemoment #yogi #meditation #mindfulness #awaken #chakra #healingenergy
