I feel like alot of people have a real shallow basic understanding of online/social network marketing, They read an article and watch a video on it, learn the points and try to apply it without any of the broader finer understanding of it. They just swing their marketing around like a wrecking ball smh.
Lets use instagram as an example. Hashtags are an important part of it, so what do they do? Post around 50 hashtags on all their photos which ends up making the post look messy and all over the place. How about using only a few popular and not so popular hashtags that pertains to your post, and posting them with spaced dots as a comment to hide them but still have your post marked.
Another one would be stranger engagement, you like and comment on other people profiles to bring attention back onto yourself. Now the problem with that is if you’re just leaving “great” “good post” and emojis, what exactly is that doing for the person? I’ll post a meme on instagram and someone will say “great photo” and I will just be sitting there like..........................son what. It’s like bro I’m not stupid, I know you just want me to go give you likes back or follow you etc. If you actually want those things to happen how about giving an insightful comment that actually has something to do with that persons post, which will actually get their attention.
Just a couple of thoughts I had while heating up some chicken smh.
