Funeral

My Grandpa K passed away last Wednesday morning.

He went in because he was feeling under the weather back in the middle of November around before thanksgiving. turned out his hemoglobin was extremely low. The low end of normal is 11 and he was at a 3. He had ulcers that were bleeding. He was rushed into surgery, his colon later got a tear letting nasty crap leak into his body. This led to a fever and infection. then more surgery. Then a ventilator and 70% dialysis. He had plateaued and they said the next option is to move him to a nursing home, stay on the vent, and 100% dialysis. Not the type of life he would want at all. He was in the critical care unit the whole time unless he was in the ICU. My grandma K and my godmother made the choice to turn off the machines.

So now I have a funeral to go to tomorrow. At the same place and possibly same room that my mom was in. Im trying to stay positive but I have been uneasy all day. Even though he is not my biological grandpa my mom grew up around him, he is my godmothers dad, and he pretty much has been my grandpa.  I'm crossing my fingers that I make it through tomorrow in one piece or that I at least don't end up a wreck tomorrow night especially when I have finals all this week. :/
