Eddie felt comfortable to tell Dick about his childhood and what he went though, and what he had to do to survive his abusive father.

"Yeah, it was tough especially after my grandparents passed. That's why I ended up doing all of this terrible shit. It doesn't excuse my actions of course, it's all my fault...but I'm trying to at least give back and help people. That's one of the reasons why I'm a detective now."
