Fionn Mac Cumhaill (AKA Finn MacCool) was legendary Irish 3rd century hero similar to the English Robin Hood. He could have been based on a historical person who defended Ireland against Norse invaders. His warrior-followers were named Finians.
Does anyone else think it’d be cool to call ourselves Finians? Or maybe Finnians...
