apparently when i was a baby and had just learned to talk i went through a phase where i would happily say "i'm a baby boy! :-)" and my mom would go "no honey you're a baby girl"

#i mean i don't think it actually means anything. i don't think i knew what those words meant #and i didn't realize i experienced any kind of dysphoria until my therapist pointed it out to me when i was like. 19 or 20.#so like it's not really a big deal it's just funny to think about #finielspeaks #also when i was like 12/13 i was always thinking shit like ''god i wish i was born a boy so i could be a boy wearing a skirt''#but again. could mean nothing.#like that doesn't mean i actually Am a guy or anything #granted i don't even really know what that means. but my dad said i didn't strike him as a guy so that must mean something right #idk. whatevar i'm going to shower now

ok nobody kill me for this but i do believe that the terms "proship" and "anti" are worse than useless and work to not only obscure & confuse intentions in conversations about trauma and abuse (both in fiction and irl communities surrounding it); they also prevent people from actually thinking critically about individual situations where these topics are present. they serve as clunky, ambiguous labels that mean a million different things to a million different people, and they allow those who use them to essentially substitute a label for relevant analysis and active thought.

#being too caught up in this mindset seems to really hinder peoples' ability to consider context #and they get incredibly vicious about it too #finielspeaks #no rbs bc obviously.
