On the 21st Of Nov 1784, In my hometown of Pargas/Parainen, painter Gustaf Wilhelm Finnberg was born. He lived an 18th/19th century life of poverty & loss; his plight apparent in the often bleak tones of his works.

I present to you an evoking piece he did in 1829:
