If you could pick any fantasy creature or mythological beast to keep as a pet, what would it be?

I've spent all night (and all morning) pondering if they count as fantasy creatures or mythological beasts, before deciding that I honestly don't care.

I don't want one as a pet, but as a friend and a companion? Definitely.

what can I say... I love them (but especially this unnamed Banderbear in particular. I shall not speak of their tragic fate. in bb!lou's mind a happier au unfolded)

they're great. they give amazing hugs. they're wonderful company and kind and loyal. but if need be they can be fast and ferocious too

Hilariously, I work with Weakfish, Cynoscion regalis, on the regular. They're also called gray trout, but because the skin around their lips is really thin, an angler's hook will tear RIGHT out of their mouth, hence the "weak" name. They are actually predatory fish, and have the cutest lil Dracula teeth.

fun!! i just looked it up and i do really like those teeth :)
