Is there anything not even Firch would joke about, or does he have no standard?

It's a hard thing to gauge. There are lines he doesn't cross with me but he has crossed the exact same lines with other people. Not sure why. I guess he thinks we're friends? I dunno. His limit is what he thinks he can get away with and how hard the person he's dissing can hit. He never said anything about psykers to long tall Jonny or whatever but was always getting stuck into princess Boone.

At least, until she whooped the stuffings out of him.

Does anyone actually like/tolerate Finch? I mean Firch?

Like? No, I don't think so. I mean, Nada seems to like everyone but Firch is terrified of her so I'm not sure that counts. He's not actually evil evil though. He's still a Cadian and though self important is legitimately good at his job so he can generally be found mingling with other Cadians or the easier going folks. Heck, if it post mission, he may even make horrible jokes about our actual enemies instead of us. Only until next tim, though.

For Tornic and Firch, I get that you're both Voxmen, but how often do you actually see combat? Like, most Voxmen I've seen are usually in the back of the squad, Is this a tactical thing, or just habit?

It's not a habit, man. It's common friggin' sense. In the middle - towards the back. Gotta be able to see most of the squad and, importantly , have people between you and the enemy. I mean, we lose a grunt - yeah, that sucks but it wont make or break a mission. A good voxman is vital.

So Firch, what does your job as a Voxman require you to do, and though the name already gives me a clue, I’d like a little more in-depth explanation

Oh buddy you got no idea.

I gotta keep track of everyone positions and the terrain all at once. Keep track of all codes and call signs and positions and make sure everyone knows where everything is. Enemies, other squads, variations in terrain.

I got my vox, my slates, two auspex scanners.

I have to keep track of it all and report it. Quickly. Clearly. If I have to repeat myself, the battle is as good as over. I won’t lie to you, slugger. I’m a pretty big deal.
