The glow of the candles that y/n had lit earlier lit up the large living room with difficulty. The night was falling rapidly these days and left the young woman with the strange impression of being at peace. Despite her good knowledge of the dangers that lurked in the darkness, she could not help but prefer it to the day. There was something about the lack of light that calmed her. Maybe because this way, no one could see her.

No one could steal her chocolates.

Sitting comfortably cross-legged, she randomly took a piece of the box she had been waiting to start for weeks. One of the people she had saved from a demon attack happened to be a candy store clerk and had invited her to choose what she wanted from his store.

The young woman's heart had hesitated for a long time before she finally turned to the star-shaped box. The three rows of chocolate would occupy her mouth while she finished her book.

She didn't have the opportunity to spend her evenings this way. So, too much taken by the story and by the taste in her mouth, she did not hear her husband coming back from the garden. He had trained all day Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuko and only wanted to rest in the arms of his love.

A cool breeze snuck in with him and shook the pages of the book weakly. Y/n looked up as a tornado of fire leapt to his lips. Kyojuro rested his arm against the wall where she was leaning and deepened the kiss. He let out a moan that disappeared into his wife's mouth.

She set her book to the side and gently pushed it away with one hand. His kisses were always welcome but the oxygen even more. Kyojuro smiled at her before leaning in to steal more short kisses. He sighed, brushed his lips against her forehead before slumping down beside her.

Y/n smiled as she returned to her reading and dove for another chocolate. She barely had time to finish her page before her husband's mouth fell on her. He pulled away, his hands around her face.

-You have something here.

He pointed with his chin the corner of her lips before wiping it himself with his thumb. Y/n let him do it without saying anything, a blush starting to form on her cheeks. It had definitely taken the color of a tomato when he licked his finger without taking his eyes off her.

-You know, if you wanted chocolate all you had to do was ask.

The fire hashira shook his head, bursting into a loud laugh.

-It tastes better this way, he said before kissing her again.

The action made y/n giggle into the kiss. Kyojuro stepped back to watch the demon slayer's face as she laughed. It was one of the most beautiful sights he had ever seen.

Finally, her laught subsided and she rested her forehead against his and smiled. The man had promised her that he would never stop showing his love for her on their wedding day and so far he had kept his promise, pleasantly surprising his wife every time.
