Before I completely forget about it, the last set of reprints for the Fire King structure deck was revealed last night. No handtraps like people were hoping for, but almost all of the old "Coach" cards are in here.
The last new card for Fire Kings was revealed last night! They've needed a new Spell/Trap searcher for ages and a searcher that is also just an in-archetype Treeborn Frog is pretty damn good.
All's that left now is reprints; 1 reprinted Trap and 9 reprinted monsters.
Only a one-card update to the Fire King SD list, with Infinite Impermanence getting a reprint announced. We're still missing a single new card for Fire Kings and a week left before the SD releases in the OCG.
Two more reveals for the upcoming Fire King SD got announced; a Droll & Lock Bird reprint (always handy) and...Herald of the Abyss, a card I literally had never heard of prior to this and mistook for Abyssal Designator.
We're still missing one more new card from this SD, but we've gotten all of the Spells out of the way now.
We got a bunch of reveals for new cards and reprints from the upcoming Fire King Structure Deck so here's the current status of its known cards.
These usually get 8 new cards for their main archetype and so far we've gotten 7 (3 new main deck monsters, 2 new Spells, 1 Trap, and the new Xyz). If I had to guess, I'd wager we're due for another Extra Deck addition - maybe another Rank 8 or perhaps just a Rank 4 for the lower-level Fire King monsters to go into.
Did I mention already that I love Fire Kings? If not, let me mention I fricking love Fire Kings. Barong and Yaksha having a sparring session. I might color this later, but I liked so much the lineart that I'll post it right now.
