Fire show! Fire show! Fire show tonight! Weee!

It’s fire show season again! I’ve been spinning a lot of fire gigs lately which is really nice after my hiatus. For a while I refused to do fire shows and turned down every invite because I needed a break. Shit got real at a show back in August and after all of that, I decided to politely bow out on fire shows and stick with LEDs for a while. It actually worked out in my benefit because I was able to learn how to mix technical skills with performance, a balance that is difficult to achieve when you're known for your fire performances but not for your technical skill. I've noticed that recently, I've been getting a lot of comments from strangers and people who know me on my technique rather than how awesome my fire looks so I know I've gone up a level in my spinning and that's really, really good because I felt stagnant for a while. So now I'm ready to get back in the game. I’m only doing small shows for now (well, minus my trip to Canada for Les Maitres du Feu) because I need fire insurance feel comfortable doing big gigs so for now, my fire performances will be done only at small venues and small, private parties. But it’s good to be doing fire performance again. I really missed it a lot.
