Dare for two: take a shower together! (Can be smutty or just fluffy, up to you)
Name Randomizer: Blake and Cinder
((So here’s the thing about this one…I could make it kinda smutty? But I could also make it awkward, angsty, and in the end wholesome…I think you know where this is going. I’ll take awkward angst and wholesomeness any day of the frickin week.))
Cinder, her head falling forward, groaning: Oh. My fucking. DAMNIT.
Blake, gritting their teeth and shaking their head: I attest.
Yang: Come on, it’s a dare, and honestly, a pretty simple one.
Blake: You’re just saying that 'cause you don’t have to do it.
Yang: I mean, it’s not like you’ll be naked in front of everybody. Just each other.
Blake: That’s still a problem.
Cinder: Very much a problem.
Weiss, shrugging: Well, you have to do it. Especially after the stuff some of us have had to do already.
Blake: But…this is going to be so awkward…especially with…her.
Cinder: I’m not psyched either, Belladonna.
Ruby: It’s a bonding exercise.
Cinder: Getting coffee together is bonding. Going for a walk together is bonding. Showering together is a different story.
Yang: Well, bonding or not, you gotta. And who knows? It might be a life-changing experience for the both of you.
Blake: Don’t.
Cinder: Fine. *stands, then points at Blake* Don’t you hog the shampoo.
Blake, standing: How would I hog the shampoo?
Cinder: I see your long silky locks. You probably go through half a bottle every time you wash your hair.
Blake, looking to the side: I do not….well…maybe I do. Maybe I need a haircut.
Yang: You’d look hot with shorter hair.
Blake: I’ll keep that in mind.
Cinder, detaching her cybernetic prosthetic and tossing it at Yang: Don’t let anyone mess with that, arm friend.
Yang, catching Cinder’s arm: What makes you think I won’t mess with it?
Cinder: Because if you do, I’ll mess with yours. *turns toward the bathroom* Let’s get this over with.
Ruby: She doesn’t seem as against this now.
Blake, following Cinder: Believe me, we’re both against this, but since we can’t get out of it, we’re getting it over with.
Yang: Have fun.
Blake: I will hiss at you.
They both enter the bathroom and shut the door behind them.
Blake, looking at Cinder and sighing: Well?
Cinder: Well what? It’s not like we’re getting out of this. At least the shower is roomy. *turns her back to Blake and takes off her shirt with her remaining arm* Don’t get near me.
Blake, staring at Cinder’s back for a moment, a little shocked at seeing her scars for the first time: I….
Cinder, sighing, staring at the wall for a moment: Fuck.
Blake: What?
Cinder: I can’t undo my bra without my other arm. I can reach back a lot easier with it.
Blake: Need my help?
Cinder, visibly annoyed: If you would. And I know you’ve been staring at me. Stop.
Blake, stepping forward and undoing Cinder’s bra: I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to stare, I just haven’t seen your—
Cinder: That’s the point. I don’t want anyone to see my scars. And I thought I was getting lucky by not getting any dares that involve stripping, but my luck ran out tonight, so… *tosses her bra away, keeping her back turned to Blake*
Blake: I think you look….fine.
Cinder: Fine. Right.
Blake, sighing: Cinder, just because you have a lot of scars doesn’t mean you aren’t beautiful.
Cinder: I know I’m beautiful.
Blake: Are you just saying that? Because if you…
Cinder: Well, just because I feel I’m beautiful doesn’t mean anyone else does.
Blake: I think you’re beautiful.
Cinder: Are you just saying that?
Blake, sighing and looking down: Cinder…I’m being completely honest. When I look at you right now, I…I feel the same way I feel when I see one of the other girls undressed. I… *sighs and shakes their head* I truly think you’re beautiful. You have nothing to hide.
Cinder, gritting her teeth, closing her eyes for a moment: ….Thank you.
Blake, smiling: Of course.
Cinder, crossing her arm over her chest: Well…?
Blake, ears perking: Hm?
Cinder: Do you plan to shower fully clothed, or are you doing your best to make me feel as singled-out as possible?
Blake: What….? Oh….oh, sorry, I’ll…. *starts taking off their clothes*
Cinder, still facing away from them: Thanks.
Blake: Yeah. *takes off their shirt and shorts* Do you wanna get the water started?
Cinder: Sure. *moves toward the shower, reaching in and turning on the water*
Blake, taking off their bra: You can set the temperature however you want.
Cinder, glancing back at them: Why’s that?
Blake, flinching and covering their chest: J-Just....in case hot water hurts you?
Cinder, rolling her eyes and looking away: I’ll be fine.
Blake, letting their arms fall to the sides: Alright. *reaches for their underwear to pull them off*
Cinder: Really?
Blake: Really what?
Cinder: Boxer shorts? Covered in bees?
Blake, looking down at their black and yellow underwear: Uhh, haha....yeah. They were a joke gift from Yang, but....I honestly like them.
Cinder, taking a moment before responding: Cute.
Blake, chuckling and pulling the boxers off: Thanks. Uhm....are you ready?
Cinder: You get in first. I’ll follow you in a second.
Blake, nodding: Okay. *steps into the shower and closes the curtain*
Cinder, sighing: Alright. *reaches down and tugs her shorts and underwear off, then turns toward the mirror to look over her fully exposed scarred body* It’s just Blake and no one else. *closes her eyes and takes a deep breath* It’s going to be okay. *turns and heads for the shower* I’m getting in. Turn away from me.
Blake, from within the shower: Okay.
Cinder, stepping through the curtain, the water falling onto her back as she tugs the curtain shut: I.... *looks toward Blake, silenced by the sight of them*
Blake, chuckling, still with their back turned: I’m turned away but you aren’t.
Cinder, scoffing: Oh like you have anything to hide.
Blake, shaking their head: I actually used to have something to hide. *reaches up, rubbing one of her cat ears* I always thought my ears were beautiful, but there was a time when I was too afraid to show them to anyone else because I thought they wouldn’t see them the way I thought of them. *puts their hand down* Put they’re a part of me and I’m proud to have them. They’re part of my life experiences, part of the person I am.
Cinder, looking down: Right...so?
Blake: So.... *turns around*
Cinder, covering herself: I told you to turn away!
Blake: Cinder, your scars are like my ears. They’re a part of your life experiences, a terrible thing you went through and yet you got through it and are becoming stronger each and every day. They’re beautiful, you’re beautiful. Even if you’re afraid others won’t think so, you should be proud of who you are.
Cinder, still covering herself, but her expression softens: I just....I don’t see how I can be proud of something like this.
Blake, stepping closer, reaching out and taking her hand: Cinder....
Cinder, resisting at first, but then letting Blake take her hand, pulling it away from her body: At least you understand....
Blake, holding her hand: Of course I do. *steps forward a bit more*
Cinder, trying to step back: What are you—
Blake, leaning down and kissing the scarring above Cinder’s missing arm: Just remember this, okay? Whenever you doubt yourself, remember this kiss.
Cinder: I don’t....understand.
Blake: Whenever someone kisses my ears, it reminds me that they’re beautiful, something that someone else finds so beautiful that they wanted to kiss them. So I’m doing the same for your scars, to remind you that even if it’s just me, someone thinks they’re beautiful.
Cinder, staring at Blake for a moment, then closing her eyes and shaking her head: Blake....
Blake: Yeah?
Cinder, sniffing: Thank you.
Blake, putting a hand to her face: Anything. You’re my friend and I’m here for you. Even if I am, you know, antisocial.
Cinder, chuckling: Yeah, I’m pretty sure I knew you for about three weeks before you had even said a word to me.
Blake: I was missing out.
Cinder, looking up at them and smiling: Thank you.
Blake, smiling: Of course. I—
Cinder, rising onto her toes: *kisses Blake’s cat ear*
Blake: Oh.... *blushes*
Cinder, smiling: In case you needed a reminder.
Blake, chuckling and rubbing their eye: Thank you. *looks to the side* Would it be super awkward if we hugged?
Cinder: Yeah it definitely would.
Blake: Can we anyway?
Cinder, extending her arm: I can only give half-hugs.
Blake, laughing and stepping forward, hugging Cinder: Would it be a surprise to know that Yang has never made that joke?
Cinder: I came up with an arm joke that Yang didn’t think of first? Weird.
Blake, giggling, nuzzling their face against Cinder’s scarred side: She’ll probably be pretty proud when you tell it to her.
Cinder: She’d just steal it from me and never give me credit, like she does with all of her jokes.
Blake: I’m telling her you said that.
Cinder: No don’t!
Blake, laughing: Just kidding.
Cinder, holding them a little tighter: Should we, like, actually shower, or....
Blake, tightening the hug: I’m good for now.
Cinder, sighing, leaning her head against Blake’s: Yeah. Me too.
