Ah! A commission from a guild friend of mine! This here is Tepkk, an Inquest PR agent, hanging out with his girlfriend Yaria, A peacemaker PR agent. I was experimenting with several different techniques for coloring and it came out great! -- Are you interested in getting a commission? Or know someone who is? Well I’m currently having a COMMISSION SALE all in the month of June! Commission Sale Poster --
hey all, just a tiny post to say: sorry i’ve been so inactive here! It’s been a rough year and a long summer and i’ve been sick all week but forgot to write about it.
If you need any help using firealpaca or scouring for resources/brushes, just let me know via ask and I’ll try to help.
I’m sorry to ask this but!! What’s your brush settings for your art?
It’s all good! :^)I’m pretty simple when it comes to brushes! I use thedefault FireAlpaca pens/settings!
This is for my more smoother lines, and forpixel-esque lineart I just turn off anti aliasing onthe top bar!
Sometimes I mess around with the correction levels depending on what kind of piece im doing. If you want to know anything else just lmk, I don’t mind! :^)
Spider Gwen
I find it very stimulating to make my characters interact with others’ OCs. This time it’s Ickle, from @@ask-ickle-muse ! I hope @ask-ickle-mod will forgive me on this one, because I really didn’t do her justice ^^’
As you can see, I used a very different approach from what I’m used to. I tried to use a style that was somehow to closer to that of Ickle’s blog, and I really glad of how my boys turned out.
I also used a different program this time: my latest experiments were done in Krita, which I liked very much but it was a bit lagging in my laptop. I used Firealpaca this time and goes pretty much smoother. Plus, it’s fairly easy to get started with.
On the downside, poor Ickle was supposed to be the star of this show, but I mess her up. Repeatedly: Her proportions are wrong in the first panel, there is something wrong with her eyes in the third, her pose is a mess in the fourth, and I forgot her leaves on the last panel... I definitely need more practice drawing her! Also, the backgrounds are terrible: I need to learn how to draw them effectively. Practice makes perfect : )
Next update might take a while, but we’ll be back in action as soon as I finish planning the next chapter and clear a couple of things from my to-do list!
