[PEOPLE] Veterans Erect Statues For N7’s
via The Galaxy Weekly Today was marked by numerous commemorative events across the galaxy, by surviving veterans and associates of informal “N7” squads. Most of these events were subdued private affairs, but some were open to the public. A monument commissioned by Rio de Janeiro and London survivors was unveiled on Earth, right beneath the Citadel in the London prefecture. Several memorial plaques now adorn the tall temples of Thessian republics, defended by the unofficial N7s. A new Turian Hierarchy cruiser was launched with name of Korwun Hegrakh to honor a krogan sentinel who fell defending Menae. Even on distant Kstere a statue was raised to honor the freelancers, albeit this one was built by a former “N7” residing on the colony. N7 is a Systems Alliance military vocation code, denoting their special forces. The famed commander Shepard served as such before her induction as Council Spectre. During the war, Systems Alliance and allied combatants contracted freelancers for high risk missions alongside the official N7’s, and the human military code was unofficially picked up by these contract agents.
