I liked the expressions in the last post and wanted to do more with em. First I thought of some sort of dramatic zoom-in but then I remembered that one animation with Rarity scowling and wanted to do something similar. Simpler, but similar.

Plus I don’t get to do frowns a lot, lol.

And now, a brief intermission from our regularly scheduled answers to bring you a current-story-related animation.

This... was interesting. I thought the base drawing was gonna be hard, and it really wasn’t. Then I thought doing all the tail frames was gonna be hard, and it really wasn’t. But then “Hey, maybe I could give it a butt wiggle too”... Famous last words. One moving thing looked weird with another one being static, and so on. Good grief, I really need to get me Flash and work on that next time. The amount of times I basically did the whole animation only to be able to check how it looked... Oh, I animate with Photoshop, btw. I make each frame in Corel Draw as usual, then export it all, bring it all to Photoshop, put it all in layers, then organize the frames... at least 15 times this.

But hey, I’m really happy with this. Hopefully some of you will be too :P Sadly the collar really has no way to be seen in this pose, but I don’t think it’s really necessary at this point...

Oh and please tell me if tumblr decides to make this NOT animated, cause it tends to do that... As far as I can see it’s fine, but who knows.

Surprise! :V

I liked the answer Firebug did for me so much, that I wanted it properly lined and colored. So at first I thought of doing it myself, but really my coloring is just flat and boring :x So then I asked my friend, good ol’ Tree, and we ended up deciding on this. I did the lining, in my classic vector style, and he did the coloring and shading on it, in his classic... Tree style :D

Just one panel of course cause... well, cause we’d take ages otherwise, lol. It’d be kinda pointless to do the whole thing anyway. Just wanted these two colored for posterity :P Picked this panel cause it’s the one that makes the most sense taken out of context.

So that’s the main thing, hope you like it! "Bonus” stuff under the break for those interested.
